This is the before last breakfast in France for this time. We spent the whole day yesterday moving out of the apartment, the moving truck came at 8am and left at 6pm after having spent the whole day moving our stuff. The truck will arrive in Oslo on Monday morning. We'll take the plane tomorrow, and in the meantime we are staying at my parents-in-law's house.
This week has been filled with goodbyes and packing, and I still haven't realized for real that we are actually leaving France. It has been a 8 year long relationship, and as with all good relationships, it will be hard to let go. I am happy to go back home, but there are of course many things I will miss about France.
The comforting side to it all is that I will be close to my family and friends in Oslo, and that the situation will be reversed; instead of having them visiting in France, and going home from time to time, the French will have to come to us, and we'll go to France. At least we have a guest bedroom in our apartment, so it will be ok.
I don't know when I'll be able to write again as the moving once we are in Oslo will be quite intense too. But I'll be back as soon as I find a moment. In the meantime, have a great weekend!!

ReplyDeleteThank you! don't worry, it's the same for me, I haven't had time to sit down reading blogs in ages - it's so much to do all the time! Hopefully it will soon be calmer on my end, as soon as the moving is about done.
